Great place. Consistently has given great level of service over the years for which I went here long ago versus just recently. My wife really enjoyed the night out with me here, and we tried new pastries from here as well. Excellent service.

I wish they handle reservations, or at least made it easier for smaller (casual) business gatherings to get a table faster. We were told we would had to have at least 30 people to get a table in advance or or even be placed on the queue before everyone arrived. However, the staff all seemed polite enough (except for 1-2 of the managers towards closing time) and the food was excellent. Pricing was extremely fair. Service was great for a party of 10. We'd return and several of the people in our party have been here numerous times.

We went on a friends recommendation. While the enviroment is fun, the food was the worst Mexican food we've ever had. My wife ordered the Guacamole Nachos as her meal. What came were 7 tortilla chips (total), with melted cheese on top, and a small bowl of brownish guacamole (7 chips for over $12!). We had waited a long time for our food, and were very hungry. It ended up making her feel sick for the rest of the evening. I ordered their beef tip special, which tasted like high school cafeteria food. I couldn't it was beef. I've looked up photos of the Guacamole Nachos and what we got didn't look anything like the photos folks have posted. I have no idea why we were served such poor quality (and old) food.

Wow. Such great food and amazing atmosphere! The bakery has so very many goodies to try. The service was wonderful. There isn't much more to say other than this should for sure be a stop. The only other thing to consider is that it is a little on the pricey side. But it was worth it.

This place is always one of my favorite places to come with family friends and coworkers whenever I am in San Antonio. It has a unique Texas Mexican fell to it one of my favorite parts about this restaurant is how festive and decorated it is from its Serling to its walls windows and pillars. It also has good food for everyone not only Mexican. I t is worth the price. Make sure to walk around and see the whole place cause it is large. It has 3 bars one looks like for large groups 2 sections of restaurant and a bakery when you first walk in the door in Historic Market Square and near the River Walk.

Absolutely love this place! The environment, the staff, the food, the drinks...all AMAZING! Mexican food at its finest. If you're looking for a fun place to get an authentic San Antonio experience you should definitely visit this fine establishment. The best part is that they're open 24/7 so you can go any time, day or night!

Amazing food! Great service! Food was delicious I ordered breakfast and was not disappointed. The waitress we had was great she was ready with everything we needed and if we asked for anything she was back with it in minutes! I will definitely be coming back

This place is always been a favorite in our family for many many years fir the food, ambiance margaritas Mexican beer and the panderia, a tradition here in San Antonio. Great service. If there ever is an issue with a food or drink it's always taken care of. It's cool to see the little vendors (not a lot but gives you that authentic Mexican feel) walking around trying to sell Mexican gifts (a touristy thing), a photographer, or the Mariachis trying to serenade a song for you. Those are always special for birthdays and parties. They even have this beautiful bar with an extra room behind it! I've never eaten there in that room!

If you are visiting San Antonio and look for something to do go visit this outdoor indoor market. It represents the Spanish culture really well. It's definitely a shop and eat place. The bread at this store is exactly what my family gets when they go to Mexico. Very festive, long lines on Saturday and Sunday for a table to dine.

A standing go to place when we are in San Antonio. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. The Mercado nearby is always nice to visit. Lots of authentic Mexican goods and crafts.

Amazing! I was with a group of at least 10 people. We all ordered different entrees and everyone enjoyed the food. I ordered a carnitas plate and it was delicious! The atmosphere is amazing too! Of note, you can wreck your appetite while waiting for your table if you visit the bakery counter... But definitely stock up on goodies before you leave!!!

Fun, up beat and inviting. Mi Tierra is always open with friendly staff. I never feel rushed and the food is always fresh and very filling. I can see the first timers walking through with their eyes wondering all over the restaurant looking at the festive decor. Beautiful fun place with food that does not disappoint. A must try anytime you are in San Antonio, TX.

Very good food. The prices are high but proper for the quality. The ambience is very festive. Walking El Mercado while waiting for your table is enjoyable. Enjoy!

The best panaderia with amazing people! My boyfriend and I just moved into town and went there during this epidemic, and they were very caring and shopped for us and got everything we needed! A gentleman stood outside with me and the groceries I had until my boyfriend brought the car around. We will definitely be going back once it is fully opened and we can’t wait!! Thank y'all so much!

The atmosphere is very festive. The restaurant is very popular and likely to be a wait during popul6times. Be sure to register to get a pager. They also have people who walk around playing guitar and singing. We had a party of 10 and food came out in a decent time. Our chicken fajitas were good. Someone had green sauce on their dish, but it wasn't green...so not sure what happened. Other plates looked really good.

I have eaten here many times and each time the food and service was outstanding. Some people need to understand that this is one of the most popular restaurants in the United States. If you are going to complain about waiting then go to a drive through burger shop. The experience of Mi Tierra is unmatched in Texas. We love your food! Excellent Service!

The area was great, it's located in a Market Place. Very Touristy. The restaurant is huge, the bakery must be amazing if you believe the line, we didn't attempt it. The wait was over 30 minutes. Service is professional and spot on. But I thought the food was just good, not great. I don't think I'd go back and wait again.

Mexican restaurant with cool decor. Didn’t find anything amazing in the food, but was a good experience. The service was very nice :)We came when it wasn’t busy and the wait time was average. The bakery items looked good but we didn’t have any room due to large plate size.

This is a great “hidden-gem” in downtown San Antonio. Perfect for birthdays, celebrations, dates, anything you can think of! Perfect authentic made-from-scratch Mexican dishes. The surrounding Mercado is beautiful when they have lights and streamers hung up, especially at night. Well worth the quick drive and the little parking fee (City of San Antonio Parking Authority). Perfect for all!

The food is ok, overpriced if you ask me. If you want authentic Mexican food this is not the place. I think it’s hyped because of the decorations but I have had better fajitas and Mexican food. The hype about is is how colorful it is it’s a very pretty colorful place. But I have had better Mexican food!

The experience is WOW.... the food can be basic but it’s not bad. This place is most definitely a tourist attraction and they do a fantastic job at catering to the tourist. We often visit the restaurant when we have visitors in town and they want the SA experience. Mi Tierra has the experience needed to wow wow any new visitor to SA.

We visited this place twice while in San Antonio. Went for breakfast and it was so delicious, we had to return for lunch. This is the best Mexican food I have ever had! You have to see this place to believe it! The atmosphere is wonderful, the servers have beautiful uniforms, there are mariachis that will come sing to you. An all around great experience!

Great place for an early breakfast meeting. They are always open. Cultural atmosphere at its best. From the margaritas to the enchilada to the mariachis, you will enjoy this place. The food is consistently good and affordable. The bakery is true to the Mexican roots and the selection is huge. You will enjoy this place in the old market for souvenir shopping.

We only went to the bakery. I was in line for about five minutes on a busy Sunday. I went hoping to get some hot tea because I saw it on online menu so I was disappointed when they told me they didn't have any. I did try some items and they were good. The lady that attended me was very sweet.

The restaurant is very spacious has great food, and margaritas. Service was great we our waiter was so friendly and attentive. You will have a great time as you will enjoy live music and great appetizers. One thing that I did not like was that we were standing inside with many others and we were the only ones asked to go outside and wait. Just taught that was odd.

Visit this restaurant everytime we go to San Antonio. Great atmosphere and mariachi musicians for hire to play at your table if you like that. Mexican Christmas decorations throughout the restaurant and nicely themed bar separate from eating area.Food is very good, and they also have a Mexican bread bakery. Most of the time it's a long wait but worth it.

Every time we’ve been coming to San Antonio to visit, this has been the place we always come to. When we come with family that visits, we invite them here to try out the amazing food and drinks. This is a great place to be with the family and even though it’s very full, the wait time is not that long and there is an area where you can order just drinks while you wait. Great food, great service, and a great time!

Wonderful food and atmosphere with friendly staff and quick service. Their bakery is incredible and all the pictures and festive decor makes for a pleasant meal or even a celebration. Top notch for family and friends at reasonable prices for yummy Mexican dishes and so close to the market and historic sites make it a must stop while in San Antonio.

I love the fact that such an amazing place is open 24 hours. You kinda forget that you're there at a time where other places are closed. The tortillas are just like my Grandma's. Perfection!! Some places are just fun to go to for the experience and atmosphere but not Mi Tierra their food is incredible and authentic.

YOUTH HERE! ✌🏻✌🏻Not sure if it is the pinatas that are hanging or the crazy decorations but it makes you feel like fiesta never left! Love this place to bring family that has never been to an actual Mexican restaurant! Sometimes it can be messy and super loud that's the only down side! Other than that is amazing!

Good food and service. They have a bakery, a bar and a restaurant. Kind of touristy. The food is good. The bar only had appetizers and not the full menu so that was disappointing. I went to the bar after dinner but cant comment on the drinks since I was never waited on after waiting 12 minutes. They did get three stars for being open 24 hours.

I had authentic excellent tasting pork tamales with gravy, rice and beans. Mr Cortez, the business owner, took me on a tour of this 1941 family authentic Mexican restaurant and bakery. Photos on the walls and murals now being completed by an artist named Robert m, who I met. The collection of art depicting history of the family and staff, local and U.S. politicians and celebrities. I recommend this as a must great restaurant, must have bakery items, and market area in San Antonio.

Such delicious Mexican food! Everything fresh, like made from home. The chorizo with egg was just like my Mom's 😋 Decorations, murals and especially the singers add a wonderful feeling to your time here. Many seats, staff was so nice and hospitable, service time was not long at all. Made me want to stay longer and absorb the atmosphere more. The Mariachi Bar was a hallway across(also festive looking, owned by same establishment, so I'm sure it's awesome), I didn't get a chance to experience that part but I seen a few people around me ordering drinks before their lunch. And they're open 24 hours!
